New GEN-C module with Alice Kongsted available online
GEN-C’s latest CPD course is the module Self-management – The New Black in Back Pain? by Alice Kongsted.
The global pandemic has seen many changes in the way we practise. The restrictions that have been implemented around the world due to the pandemic have meant that practitioners can either not engage with patients face-to-face or have limited access to in-room visits. This situation has resulted in the growth of telehealth services, which means that clinicians need to engage with patients very differently, and dare we say “pivot” in how we manage our patients.
The changes to our practices bring the role of self-management to the forefront of our interventions, and who better to teach you about this than Professor Alice Kongsted? Professor Kongsted is a Professor at the Musculoskeletal Research in Primary Care at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Southern Denmark, and a senior researcher at the Nordic Institute of Chiropractic and Clinical Biomechanics. She is widely acknowledged as a leading authority on self-management and one of the developers of the internationally renowned GLA:D Back program.
In conduction with the release of this GEN-C module developed by Professor Kongsted, we have also included a recent article on the GLA:D Back program to aid your understanding of the vital role of self-management and in particular the GLA:D Back program.
